A family business in Homosassa, going on twenty years in outdoor kitchens. We started out selling and installing other manufacturers' cabinets. Since 2012 we have built our own. Fire Islands is that same build, narrowed into a lineup you can order online.
Where it started
Two decades of knowing what doesn't work.
Our family has been in the outdoor kitchen business in Florida for nearly twenty years. We've sold, delivered, and installed more custom outdoor kitchens than we can count, which also means we've seen every way a cabinet can fail. Warped frames. Finishes that don't hold up to a Florida summer. Lead times that left customers waiting months.
For the first few years, we bought from various manufacturers and did our best to stand behind products we didn't fully control. We made it work, but we were always working around someone else's limitations.

So in 2012 we made a decision: build our own. Starting from scratch, we designed a cabinet that addressed every shortcoming we'd seen in the field. Welded aluminum frames. HDPE poly board doors and drawers. 16-gauge 304 stainless steel countertops, the same grade used in professional kitchens and marine environments. Products built to survive real Florida weather, real outdoor cooking, and real families who use their backyards hard.
What happened next
The business grew because the product was better.
Once we controlled the product, everything changed. Lead times we could actually commit to. Quality we could actually guarantee. A warranty we could actually stand behind, because the people making the cabinet and the people selling it are the same family.
Over the fourteen years since, the business grew around a product we were finally fully proud of. Word spread through Florida. Customers came back, and a network of dealers across Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas grew up around the custom work. The reputation built itself.
Why Fire Islands
A new name, and a shorter menu.
Fire Islands is the brand we put on them so we could sell past the reach of a delivery truck and a design meeting. Every cabinet is welded, cut and finished exactly the way we have built them since 2012. Same shop, same frames, same materials, same people.
What is different is the menu. A custom job can be any size, any layout, any appliance, and it needs a designer and an installer to get there. Fire Islands is fixed sizes and eighteen finishes, which is precisely what makes it possible to build one, crate it whole, and put it on a truck to anywhere in the lower 48. If your project needs more than the lineup offers, that is still custom, and it still goes through our dealers.

Founding families
The name is new, so the first twenty five kitchens matter more than the next hundred.
Here is the honest problem with being early. Every photograph on this site is a real cabinet, welded and finished in our shop, but the backyard behind it is not real. We set it into a scene so you could picture yours. Not one Fire Islands kitchen is in somebody's yard yet, because you would be among the first.
So: the first twenty five clients who send us video of the delivery, the setup and the first cook get a box of Omaha Steaks, something to put on the grill you just bought. We use the video on the site and in our advertising. The steaks are for the footage, not for a good review, and the box ships either way. If something turns up damaged or wrong we would rather you filmed that too, because that is the part we need to get right before the next twenty five.
