Fire Islands is a Florida family business, built on two decades of hands-on experience and a decision to stop selling products we weren't fully proud of.
Where it started
Two decades of knowing what doesn't work.
Our family has been in the outdoor kitchen business in Florida for nearly twenty years. We've sold, delivered, and installed more outdoor kitchens than we can count, which also means we've seen every way a cabinet can fail. Warped frames. Finishes that don't hold up to a Florida summer. Lead times that left customers waiting months.
For years, we bought from various manufacturers and did our best to stand behind products we didn't fully control. We made it work, but we were always working around someone else's limitations.

So we made a decision: build our own. Starting from scratch, we designed a cabinet that addressed every shortcoming we'd seen in the field. Welded aluminum frames. HDPE poly board doors and drawers. 16-gauge 304 stainless steel countertops, the same grade used in professional kitchens and marine environments. Products built to survive real Florida weather, real outdoor cooking, and real families who use their backyards hard.
What happened next
The business grew because the product was better.
Once we controlled the product, everything changed. Lead times we could actually commit to. Quality we could actually guarantee. A warranty we could actually stand behind, because the people making the cabinet and the people selling it are the same family.
Over the next few years, the business grew around a product we were finally fully proud of. Word spread through Florida. Customers came back. The reputation built itself.
